from our Friday morning figure drawing session at work. I usually show up late and only have about an hour to draw, so I draw small and usually just get the head and shoulders. These are probably my favorites from the last few months of small, figure-less figure drawings.
These are brilliant. I wish my life drawings looked more like this! Great work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful late or not.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the recent comment Dave, miss working with you and miss the foos. They don't have foos up here. Shameful, what am I supposed to do with all the freetime? Work?

All your works are awesome.
ReplyDeleteYour drawings and paintings are just so nice.. we can really feel the light even in a imaginated ones.
ReplyDeleteI saw the landscape tutorial you posted on Youtube.. But the video is sped up (well, I know you don't really have the choice) and I wanted to know more about some details : How's exactly made the brushes you use, and what is the whole thing about "liquid white" ?
You don't have to answer if you don't want to. It was already a pleasure having a tour in your blog.
Thanks for the comments, everyone.
ReplyDeleteJongy, about the youtube video, the audio is not me. It's an oil painter named Bob Ross, who had a painting show on TV for many years. It's supposed to be a joke, but it's probably very confusing if you are not from the U.S. and didn't grow up seeing Bob Ross on TV. So "liquid white" really has nothing to do with my painting.
Oh, I see.
ReplyDeleteI was guessing a bit with the comments in fact.
And then.. may I know what kind of brushes you used ? It looked so smooth.
Jongy, for that painting I was mainly using the 2B pencil set to "cover" rather than "buildup" and a variant of the ultrafine wash brush from Painter 5.
ReplyDeleteVery original..
ReplyDeleteanyway..
Thanks a lot for the awswer !
incredible stuff man
